How we use AI
Every video we publish is made with AI. We say so openly, and nothing reaches a patient until the practice owner has approved it.
What is made with AI
- The person on screen. It is either an AI version of the practice owner, built from the owner's own face and voice, or an AI spokesperson who is not a real person.
- The first draft of every script, written post and newsletter, written from the owner's own explanations.
What is never left to AI
- Approval. The practice owner, or someone the owner names, approves every script before a video is made and before anything is published.
- Medical judgment. Claims about treatments, results and risks are the owner's to make, edit or remove.
- Conversations with patients. We don't reply to comments or messages. A person at the practice does.
How we disclose it
- Every video carries a short line on screen saying that it is AI-generated and that the script was reviewed by the physician.
- We also apply the platform's own AI label on every platform that offers one.
- Each practice's profile carries a plain statement that its educational videos are produced with AI.
- An AI spokesperson is always presented as an AI spokesperson for the practice. It is never given a clinical title, and it is never presented as a doctor, nurse or member of the staff.
- If a patient asks whether a video is AI, the answer is yes.
Likeness and voice
- We create an AI likeness or voice only with the owner's written permission, and the owner personally records that consent with the video tool we use.
- It is used only for that owner's practice and only for approved content.
- When our work together ends, we delete it within 30 days and confirm in writing that it's gone.
What we don't use
- Patient photos, patient stories, testimonials or any patient health information.
- Invented reviews, invented patients or invented results.
- Promises of specific outcomes.
Rules that apply to your practice
Advertising rules for physicians and dentists vary by state, by province and by licensing board, and rules about AI are changing quickly. We build the service to be easy to defend: the owner's words, the owner's approval, and open disclosure. The practice owner remains responsible for the content that is approved, and we encourage every client to review the approach with their own counsel.
